AP US History Review Books

The AP World History exam is separated into two different sections and four different parts.  The first section is comprised of 55 multiple choice questions and you will have 55 minutes to completed the test – this section will make up 40% of your overall AP World History exam score.  The second portion of the AP World History test will be comprised of four short answer questions, and you will have 50 minutes to complete this section, it will stand for 20% of your exam score.  The third portion of the test will be 1 question that will be based on a document and you will have 55 minutes to complete the test – this will make up 25% of your AP World History score.  The final section of the exam is single, long 35-minute essay – and it will make up 15% of the exam score.

Traditions & Encounters: A Global Perspective on the Past book review – this book is an excellent AP US History textbook to use in preparing for the exam. This is arguably the most difficult history AP test and because of that, there are many book review resources that can help. The tricky part about studying for this test is that a high school setting normally wont fully prepare you for the test – and it takes additional studying to score a 5 on the AP US History exam.

Barron’s AP World History test prep book review – This is a massive AP History review book and is a very comprehensive review book for anyone that is taking the AP World History exam. Take your time in reading this book, it will take a lot time to read, we recommend at least 4-5 weeks at a minimum. The newer format of the test will be outlined in the book, which will be important to score a 5 on the test. Remember that you will be tested on interpreting charts and different type of question about World History.

Cracking the AP World History Exam book review – The Princeton Review’s AP World History review book is an excellent prep book for you to start with. The reviews across many different book sellers are strong, especially for this year’s edition. Included in this book are five new full-length practice tests, which will allow you to gauge your test taking skills and practice your timing of the AP US History exam.
